Our first impression of this instrument was its gorgeous appearance. The wood selections and its finish are stunning and the turtle design mother-of-pearl inlays are the icing on the cake.
This beautiful ukulele has an all Koa body and neck, with a Rosewood fret board and custom tuners. The finish work is excellent. The action is great and the neck is just a bit wider than most tenor ukuleles, which make it a lot easier to play.
The sound of this ukulele, with a nice mix of highs and lows with no midrange box sound, is extremely good. The first thing we noticed is how well it sounds in the higher fret position of the neck. Its very balanced across each string even when playing very hard.
When recording, the HNS T Premium is especially microphone friendly as we were able to catch the warm tones and the highs easily. All in, this is a first class ukulele.
